Bodhaka Lumen

Terms of Use

Effective 25 October 2026

These terms govern the use of Bodhaka Lumen and this website, provided by BuoyantWave Learning Technologies LLP, a limited liability partnership registered in India (“we”, “us”). By using Bodhaka Lumen you agree to them. If you use it on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you may bind that organisation, and “you” means the organisation. A signed agreement or order form with us takes priority over these terms where they differ.

1. The service

Bodhaka Lumen is a cloud learning management system. Each customer receives its own workspace to run courses, assessments, live classes, analytics, communication and related features, and can connect third-party services through integrations. Features may change as we improve the service; we will not remove a core feature a paying customer relies on without reasonable notice.

2. Accounts

  • Your administrator controls who can use your workspace and with which role.
  • Keep sign-in details safe and tell us promptly about any unauthorised use.
  • You are responsible for activity in your workspace.

3. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • break the law, or infringe anyone’s intellectual property or privacy;
  • upload malware, or try to gain access to another customer’s workspace or our systems;
  • probe, scan or load test the service without our written permission (good faith security research reported to us under our security reporting process is welcome);
  • send spam, or message people who have not agreed to receive messages;
  • use the service to harass, harm or exploit anyone, especially children;
  • resell or copy the service, or use it to build a competing product.

We may suspend use that breaks these rules or puts the service or others at risk, and will tell you why.

4. Your third-party accounts and licences

Integrations connect Bodhaka Lumen to services you hold with other companies, such as Zoom, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Stripe, Razorpay, PayPal, Twilio, Turnitin, Qualtrics or SurveyMonkey. For each one:

  • you must hold your own valid account and any licence the service requires, including API access where needed (for example a Turnitin licence that includes API use, or a Qualtrics licence with API access);
  • you are responsible for complying with that service’s terms and for any fees it charges;
  • you choose and grant the permissions the integration uses, and you can revoke them at any time;
  • the service is provided by that company, not by us. We are not responsible for its availability, changes to its interfaces, or how it handles data, though we will help you reconnect when an interface changes.

5. Your data

You own the data you put into Bodhaka Lumen. You give us permission to process it only to provide, secure and support the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having a lawful basis and any consents needed, including parental consent for children. You can export your data while your subscription is active.

6. Our property

Bodhaka Lumen, its software, design and content belong to us or our licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it during your subscription. If you send us suggestions, we may use them freely.

7. Fees

Fees, billing periods and taxes are set out in your order form. Unpaid fees may lead to suspension after notice.

8. Availability and support

We aim to keep Bodhaka Lumen available at all times but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free unless a service level is agreed in writing. Support is described on the Support page.

9. Disclaimer

Except as expressly stated, the service is provided “as is”. Features that use artificial intelligence or automated recommendations can be wrong and should be reviewed by a person before important decisions are made about a learner.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue or data, and our total liability arising out of the service in any twelve months is limited to the fees you paid us in those twelve months. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud.

11. Indemnity

You will defend us against claims arising from data or content you put into the service, or from your breach of these terms or of a third-party service’s terms.

12. Ending the service

You may stop using Bodhaka Lumen at the end of your subscription. Either party may end the agreement if the other seriously breaches it and does not fix the breach within 30 days of notice. After the end, we delete your workspace as described in the Privacy Policy; please export anything you need first.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any dispute resolution process agreed in your order form.

14. Changes

We may update these terms and will post the new version here with a new effective date. For paying customers, significant changes take effect at the next renewal unless the law requires otherwise.
